As President of SASDA, I wanted to take a moment to update you on our plans for holding a virtual conference on June 1. As you may have heard, the SASDA Board voted in April to cancel our in-person annual conference and hold a lighter virtual conference due to the coronavirus pandemic. This decision was not made easily, and I share the disappointment many of you have about our inability to meet in person this year.

I would like to express my heartfelt appreciation to all of our sponsors who stepped up to the plate for this conference. We are working through each agreement with sponsors who contributed to fund this event.

I am confident we will still be able to have a meaningful and robust exchange of ideas about the future of American agriculture through our online platform.

We plan to release a full agenda early next week, but in the meantime I wanted to make sure you were aware that we will be holding a SASDA Board Meeting from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM ET on Monday, June 1st. SASDA will hold our open session from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM the same day.

Due to security concerns, you will be invited via email.  Pre-registration is required.  There is no registration fee.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact my Executive Administrator Melissa Eaton at or at 502-892-1255.

I am looking forward to visiting with you all – at least digitally – on June 1st.
